Biography

Maryam Hemmati is a paralegal in the firm’s Orange County office where she works on the defense of complex litigation matters, including general business litigation, insurance defense, construction defect, insurance subrogation, indemnity, insurance coverage disputes, and risk transfer. Ms. Hemmati is qualified in complex case management; fact investigation and analysis; drafting pleadings and discovery; preparing motions; and trial preparation. Before joining Palumbo Lawyers, Ms. Hemmati worked for Balboa Capital Corporation where she worked as a full time litigation paralegal for its in-house civil litigation legal department. Ms. Hemmati also worked at Los Angeles District Attorney’s office as a volunteer and assisted prosecutors with complex criminal cases.

Ms. Hemmati received her Juris Doctorate from Trinity Law School in 2016. While at Trinity, she served as the editor in chief in Law Review, the president of Criminal Law Society and board member of Alternate Dispute Resolution and Student Bar Association. Ms. Hemmati was also the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award of academic excellence in Criminal Law. She received her undergraduate degree from California State University of Long Beach in 2004.
