Robert Williams, a Senior Attorney in the firm’s Orange County office, has more than 30 years’ experience with a wide variety of complex civil litigation in state and federal courts and arbitral tribunals. Mr. Williams began his career in New York working on cutting-edge, complex civil litigation in federal courts across the US with the leading antitrust practice in the US where he represented some of the world’s largest companies in in civil and criminal matters. Mr. Williams utilized his extensive federal court experience to transition to defense of public entities in state and federal courts where he defended a wide variety of complex employment, civil rights, and constitutional case. Mr. Williams has also had a broad exposure to construction matters in the defense of Sherman Act claims, construction defect claims, bonding claims, and contract disputes. At Palumbo Bergstrom his practice has focused on insurance defense in construction defect, auto and common carrier matters.

Mr. Williams has successfully tried or resolved cases in federal and state appellate courts across the US. He has extensive mediation and arbitration experience and has represented clients in numerous administrative hearing in front of various state and federal agencies. Constantly striving to arrive at imaginative and creative solutions and to resolve disputes as efficiently as possible, he has consistently achieved excellent results for his clients throughout his career.

Mr. Williams received his Juris Doctorate from New York University of Law in 1984, and his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1981. Mr. Williams is licensed to practice in California (2008), Ohio (1993) and New York (1984) and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, the Southern District of California, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
